Join us as we move forward into the spring with our Annual Canvass.
We have much to celebrate:
- Our interim minister Rev. Joe Cherry has been leading us in worship, guiding us with his wisdom, and helping us to breathe new life into our worship and membership committees.
- We are taking steps to improve our communication and to be more transparent throughout all of our activities.
- Our justice action committees are as vibrant as ever. We are beginning a trial period where we will open our building to refugees and other migrants as a daytime shelter.
- We continue to open ourselves to the community through Jayleigh Lewis’ outreach initiatives and our First Friday Community Dinners.
- The trial 6 weeks of winter worship in Lyon Chapel was a success and reflected a positive move toward reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
- Our Choir has doubled in size. We continue our religious exploration programs, small group ministries and many other activities.
We respectfully ask you to support our wonderful First Parish community with a generous pledge this year.
Due to inflation, our expenses continue to increase; the rising cost of employee health insurance and increased building maintenance and insurance expenses are just several of the contributing factors.
Our goal for FY 2025 is $350,000, an 8% increase over last year’s canvass goal.
Please consider increasing your pledge by 8% or more if you are able.
