The Coming of Age Years: Grade 7, 8, and 9
Our Unitarian Universalist community has a long commitment to the journey of youth to articulate what they have given their heart to. The coming of age years include an active exploration of world religious in 7th grade with the Neighboring Faiths curriculum; faith-based sexuality education for 8th graders with the Our Whole Lives curriculum; and a culminating rite of passage year for youth in 9th grade who complete the Challenge program.
Youth Explorations: Grades 10, 11, and 12
The community at First Parish supports a vibrant, active, and diverse youth ministry. Youth are supported to engage in congregational, association, and community life in many inspiring ways, from teaching to social justice to serving regional and national positions in our association. This year our youth ministry will be lead by our Ministerial Intern, MaryHelen Gunn, along with other volunteer adults.
