In the words of author Resmaa Menakem, “At its best, activism is a form of healing. It is about what we do and how we show up in the world. It is about learning and expressing regard, compassion and love.” This Sunday, we will reflect on how our unique being—our experiences, our imperfections, our grief, our joy—is exactly what the world most needs. Healing begins when we learn to act in the world while grounded in an awareness of our holistically authentic selves. Katherine Ballas preaching.
