On Connection, Community, and Civic Joy. Our 7th Unitarian Universalist principle affirms our respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. It extends to other humans, all life forms, and the natural world around us. What can one vital part of this web—the humble honeybee—teach us about our own spiritual connection to nature and each other? One of nature’s most cooperative creatures, the honeybee brings us sweet insights on our own sense of purpose, search for beloved community, and hope for collective liberation.
