All are welcome to an evening of seasonal celebration and revelry at the Boston Commons. Join music director Keith Kirchoff in spreading Christmas cheer. Always a fun evening. Everyone—regardless of musical background or age—is encouraged to join. We will meet at the Park Street T station at 6:45 pm, then begin singing in front of the Christmas Tree at 7:00 pm. Afterwards, we will go to the Thinking Cup for hot cocoa and coffee.

The Chancel Choir (grades 11 and up) is open to all who want to raise their voice in the spirit of love and community. Auditions are not necessary, though each singer is asked to sing for the director in advance of joining (only so as to help me learn more about each individual voice). In addition to four paid section leaders, the great majority of singers are church community members and friends, with a wide range of musical backgrounds and experience. The ability to read music is a great asset, although a quick ear can sometimes substitute for this skill. Keith Kirchoff, our Music Director, leads this choir which sings nearly every Sunday.
First Parish in Brookline's only audition choir is made up of eight singers. The choir sings an advanced and challenging repertoire of various styles. All are welcome to audition. It is an opportunity to explore hard and complex choral repertoire in various languages at a fast pace. Reading music is mandatory, and each singer is asked to practice the music independently of rehearsal. The Chamber Choir sings the last Sunday of every month.
