Who We Are


First Parish in Brookline (FPB) is an active, warm and friendly Unitarian Universalist congregation. We invite you to be in community with us. We respect and uplift individual religious and spiritual backgrounds and traditions. Our congregation includes people of diverse ages, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Single individuals, couples, and families weave together to form the tapestry of our community.

We strive to be a welcoming, diverse, and loving congregation that nurtures spiritual growth for individuals and families, celebrates multicultural communities, and works together to demand social justice, dismantle racism, and care for our living earth.

Our Covenant


Drawn from our original covenant in 1717, it still holds meaning for us today:

We give ourselves one unto another, covenanting to walk together as a congregation, promising to faithful to watch over one another, and to delight for love to abide in our midst.
