Our Lay Leadership

The powers and duties of the Parish Board are set out in the church’s bylaws.  New members of the Board are elected at the congregation’s annual meeting to fill the places of departing members and to serve three-year terms.  Each year the Parish Chair is elected by the Parish Board from among its members.

The Board oversees the governance of the church including:

• supervising the minister
• setting policy
• establishing and appointing committees 
• proposing an annual budget for congregational approval at the annual meeting 
• managing our budget and expenditures
• ensuring responsive communication with the members of the congregation.

Parish Board Meetings

All Parish Board meetings are on the second Thursday of every month from 7 – 9 pm in the Dana Room. Board meetings are open to church members.
