Where To Begin
Engaged communities depend on their members and friends sharing their time and talent. That’s definitely true here at First Parish. There are so many ways to get involved, and getting involved creates community and deepens friendships.

Some groups meet regularly with a commitment for several years like the Worship Committee or the Parish Board.
Some activities ask for a shorter commitment like leading a Religious Exploration class for our children, joining a social justice committee, or helping to organize the annual pledge campaign.
Some fun events include helping to organize First Friday Community Dinners or greeting people at Sunday worship. These commitments could take an hour, a day, or more depending on your interest and schedule.
Every commitment at First Parish begins with support, there will always be someone there to help you learn the ropes.
There are So Many Possibilities
Are you thinking “maybe I might like to get involved?” You could start with what you enjoy doing or as they say, “something that brings you joy!” It could be related to your hobbies, or passions, or your work experience. Is this the time you might want to try something new and different?
